We have a new contester in the Wes Walk Bet - Mom

Mom has sadly (no pun intended) chosen her top 3 drivers that were left from the litter.

1 - Elliott Sadler
2 - Jeff Burton
3 - Bobby Labonte

not necessarily a bad bunch.. but i'd deff choose Guilliland instead of Sadler.. but he's number 19 (me and zack's hockey numbers-we both blame eachother for copying) And his last name is Sadler. which is..w ell a inside family thing.

i know that if she had her true pick, she'd have

1 - Elliott Sadler
2 - Jimmie Johnson
3 - Kasey Kahne

but i have Kasey and my dad has Johnson.. so that wasn't gunna happen... well that's what happens when you decide to join 2 weeks later!

On an update on the racing front - tonight at 4pm the Nextel Cup Series battle eachother at the newly renovated Las Vegas Speedway. Drivers are NOT impressed with the new track. It is much harder and slicker with an increase in the bank from 12 degrees to 20. Because of the new conditions Goodyear had to make a harder left tire set to be able to withstand the track for the duration of the race.

Those that participated in the Busch Series on Saturday got a taste of what it's like and are already warning other Nextel Drivers. Kasey Kahne got loose and spun out without any contact. He stated that each lap was a challenge to not crash. Harvick Has had his share of bitching about the 'rough' track and the new tires from Goodyear. However winner of Saturday's Busch series claims that nothing can be perfect and Goodyear did the best they can do with the new track that's been layed down.

Burton edged Kyle Busch for the win. Kyle was in the lead as Burton was closing in, taking the high side which Kyle was unable to block. The cars touched and sent Kyle spinning out crossing the finish line second going backwards.

Burton showed a great deal of respect and sportmanship after winning the race. Instead of heading straight to Victory lane, he stopped by Kyle's car, where kyle had already exited. Burton then drove to Kyle as they both shook hands and congradulated eachother. A disappointed Kyle stating during an interview after the race that at the end, Burton just had the better car and beat him fair and square.

Kyle looks to win the Nextel Cup Series this Sunday (today) at 4.PM on Fox. It would be his first win at his hometown track in Las Vegas, Nevada

*sorry i was too lazy to actually find the quotes on-line, so i paraphrazed them
